Stephen Elop現任Nokia CEO，但他過往曾在微軟工作。亦正正因為這個原因，Nokia近日宣佈與微軟合作，並推出Windows Phone 7的事宜令人懷疑。再加上Elop目前仍然持有微軟股份，據稱佔有數量排第七，令外界有很多猜測。在近來舉行的Mobile World Congress 2011中，就有人忍不住在Nokia的發佈會上大叫，「你是微軟的木馬嗎？」。
Elop當然否認，並指有關決策是全公司協議的，以下是原文回覆：
The obvious answer is no. We made sure that the entire management team was involved in the process, and of course the board of directors of Nokia are the only ones that can make this significant of a decision about Nokia. They made that final decision on Thursday night.個人認為，Windows Phone平台實在太新，Nokia仍然會有危機。
